White Crowns Hearts Flowers and Ribbons

It may not the best quality photo but it shows most of my nails fairly well. It's self done. For both hands I used Rimmel 60 second blackout as the base colour, stickers are from somewhere in Singapore and I used a clear top coat from Manicare.

Raw Chick(en) Drawing Tutorial

Here's how I drew my chicks ;) Enjoy.
First gather your drawing equipment. I'm using plain paper, my rubber is the foam eraser type simply because I dislike rubber-ings all over my page. I'm using a shaker mechanical pencil and it's a 0.5 2B lead type. I also have my old eyeliner and a bottle of black ink.
Draw a circle. It doesn't have to be perfect so you can sketch it. Try to draw it freehand and don't press down on the page because you don't want to create any irremovable marks at this stage.
Still drawing in a sketchy manner, make sure you do not press too hard. All marks should be able to be completely removed with your eraser.
I've added in the eye and fixed the shape of the body as I see fit.
Adding the wings. It consists of the upper line which is always the longest, followed by four smaller more curved lines. All up these five lines creates the wing for my chicks.
The beak is pretty straight forward. It's simple two straight lines.
I've positioned the legs in front of the chick because it's sleeping and it can't exactly sleep while standing upright. The legs are pretty straight forward too. The leg itself is a straight line and the feet consists of three smaller lines. Also, I've removed the eye because I positioned it slightly off target. It looked as if it was set too far back.
I've redrawn the eye so that it's slightly closer to the beak now.
I'm adding ink to my ex liquid eyeliner. A brush would work just as well but eyeliners tend to be easier to hold.
I'm just using it like a fine liner following my previously drawn lines. Line everything but the body.
Line the body by using smaller lines that are slightly off target so that the chick has a fuzzy body.
Erase the pencil marks completely.
Go over the lines again to thicken them and smoothen out any minor errors you may have made during the initial lining process.
Done. The drawings are ready for scanning.

Sleeping Chicky

So I got a little bored and I drew and coloured this in. I forgot to add in the shadows (that and I'm too lazy) but I checked my first chicky drawing and it didn't have shadows either. I think for the chicky drawings I'll just do them without the shadowing. If you disagree then leave me a comment and I'll consider it. Cheers.

Japan Camera

I got this as a gift from Japan for my friend who is really into photography although it's really expensive for what it is.

Crystal Jade Lights

I took this photo in Singapore at a Chinese restaurant called Crystal Jade at Takashimaya (I think). I thought the lights were really pretty. This photo is currently my desktop background.

Painting my room

Last summer I decided to get a feature wall and I painted it 'Lime Leaf'.
Two doggies were very tired at the end of the day. I don't know why though since I did all the work and they just watched me. Furthermore, why on Earth did they have to steal my bed?!

Shibuya

When I visited this place I practically died then started living in a fantasy world because of a game I once played (The World Ends With You). Everything was pretty much in the right spot, it was totally amazing.

From the train station I was greeted by the bus stop and Moyai which then brought me to a certain doggy.
Hachiko! Just around the corner from Hachiko was Scramble Crossing.
Scramble Crossing. Look the big screen is up there. Too bad they weren't advertising pins though!
Looking around Scramble Crossing I soon spotted Sibuya 109 (except in the game it's called Shibuya 104 presumably because of legal purposes)
I can honestly say I felt like I was in a gamer's virtual world that day. It was such an experience.

Yoyogi Park

Yoyogi Park was very big and there were lots of people there. It's a good spot for people watching and just chillax-ing the day away.
Yakuza men hanging out at Yoyogi park. Good thing they didn't pay much attention to me as I took a photo.
Little sparrow eating at Yoyogi Park.

Meiji Shrine

Arriving outside Meiji Shrine. This was the first gate.
One of the many gates on the way to the shrine.
When we were making our way back out again we were lucky enough to have witnessed the wedding ceremony.

Harajuku

Harajuku Street is actually pretty expensive =\ but sooooo cool!
If you go to Japan around June/July when it's their summer then make sure you stop by somewhere for a cool refreshing drink. Personally I stopped by Godiva for this drink multiple times. It was so good - but slightly pricy too.

Special Onsens at Yunessun

Indoors spa. The ceiling was painted to look like the sky and occasionally every now and then they would have flashing lights as fake lightning and they would play thunder-like sounds too.
Awesome waterfall. Too bad it's only for viewing purposes as we walked around the outdoor onsens. However, we did get to play on the water slides there which was rather fun despite not looking as cool as the waterfall.
Green Tea onsen. There were other flavours too such as Coffee, Red Wine and Sake (Rice Wine). The Coffee one was a bit weird though because it's the only one that made my hair feel terrible.
Traditional Onsen. There were other types such as the salt onsen for floating and the fish spa which felt really weird as the fish apparently was eating away dead skin.

Choosing Outfits

For my last Singapore/Japan holiday I really didn't know what to pack in order to travel lightly via mix and matching clothes so I created this to help me visualise. I drew a doll model too so that I could stick my drawn clothes on top of it using blue tac.
